New iPhone 18 Pro
A20 Pro: This generation jumps straight to the A20 Pro 2nm chip, featuring a 6-core CPU + 7-core GPU. Apple highlighted the GPU architecture upgrade at the launch event, claiming performance improvements of up to about 40%, while continuing to strengthen on-device Apple Intelligence / Siri AI processing.
Cooling: The 17 Pro already had a vapor chamber, and the 18 Pro switches to a new-generation Vapor Chamber with about 3x the surface area. This upgrade is actually very practical for sustained high-load scenarios like long gaming sessions and 4K video recording.
Camera: Variable aperture is finally here! The main camera is still a 48MP Fusion Main Camera, but now adds a mechanical 6-blade aperture structure. In low light, you can open the aperture wider to let in more light; in bright conditions or when you want to control depth of field, you can stop it down. Apple also added more Pro Controls, letting you manually adjust settings including shutter speed, for both photos and videos. Video adds 4K Dolby Vision HDR time-lapse.
Battery life: iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 36 hours of video playback, and iPhone 18 Pro Max up to 45 hours, setting the longest battery life record for iPhone. For fast charging, iPhone 18 Pro can charge to 50% in about 15 minutes; iPhone 18 Pro Max with wired charging for 5 minutes can provide up to about 7 hours of video playback!

: It seems like Mainland China models have slightly worse signal reception in the US because of differences in frequency bands, and some features on iPhones from Mainland China are stripped down... The upside is that you can use a physical SIM card, and it still works when you go back to China. 好像国行机在美国信号接收差一点，因为波频有差别，而且大陆的苹果有些功能被阉割了…好处就是能插卡，回国也能用

回复 @匿名用户 : I don't see the point of buying the Duo. A foldable phone requires two hands to open. I need it for work, but I wouldn't use a phone for work anyway. At home I have an iPad Pro and a Mac Pro. If I go traveling, I basically won't be working, so I don't need a big screen either. Given my situation, what do you think the point of me buying the Duo is?
