Editor's Pick: As the successor to the HD800, the HD800S with its added "S" naturally brings enhancements. The 56mm drivers and 4-51kHz frequency response deliver exceptional analytical power while allowing the headphones to reach deeper bass extension, with THD at just 0.02% (1kHz, 1Vrms). The HD800S can be driven directly from PCs and mobile devices using the 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter, and also comes with a Sony 4.4 balanced cable, but pairing it with an amp clearly unlocks more of its potential. We recommend pairing it with the official HDV 820 for even better results.
