这里已不是夏日最繁茂的季节，渔船靠岸，沿海的龙虾繁育箱，也多数撤下了浮标。
秋季正值Camden国际电影节,立陶宛电影“How to divorce during the war”是开幕电影，大多数缅因夫妇都如同Andrew Wyeth 画作中一般：沉着，冷静，像是雾又像是极其潮湿的海风，阴冷，静默。电影中的议题：离婚与战争，对于他们来说都是新鲜事。虽然是一部关于战争中婚姻关系的电影，实质还是在揭露阶级的空虚。
小镇的咖啡厅里，往往有着丰富的茶叶名录：英式早餐，伯爵红茶，缅因蓝莓茶( Maine Blueberry).草本类的则有：姜茶，薄荷茶，菊花茶。直到不少身着高领毛衣的女人，和互道Mate的男人陆续走入店中，我意识到小镇是英伦旅客在秋季跨洋抵达的小小岛。咖啡师有着近乎于芭蕾舞演员般旋转的脚步，一杯London Fog，她称呼下一位客户的名字，于是不经意间高领女人起身，那是一个英国女人的名字
缅因有漫长的海岸线，湖泊，针叶林，有独特的人文性质。相比之下，回想起今年造访过的匹兹堡，如果有哪位女诗人，因为匹兹堡而放弃了加州的两位情人，一定是迷恋城市的锈迹斑斑
