Mercedes-Benz V8 Engine Returns, C63 and E63 Abandon Four-Cylinder Plan

Mercedes-Benz has recently introduced a brand-new 4.0L V8 engine in the S580, marking the first phase of the AMG core performance return. AMG engineers are closely monitoring this powertrain, with plans to equip it in the highly anticipated next-generation C63 sedan and E63 wagon.

The previously launched four-cylinder C63 received a lukewarm reception in the North American market and failed to win over enthusiasts.
