The Bilstein shock absorbers installed on these vehicles may develop corrosion at the weld points. If the weld fails, the external reservoir tank can separate from the damper body and fall onto the road. This not only affects the vehicle's own suspension performance but could also become a "road hazard" for vehicles behind.
