[Expired]Tesla Model Y L Extended Edition 6-Seater Coming Soon

Tesla is starting to feel more and more like a Chinese company. The brand new extended version 🚗 Model Y L has been officially announced in China, launching in Q3!

Tesla posted a teaser on Weibo on July 16th saying "Model Y L, see you this fall!" revealing the official silhouette of the extended version for the first time. On the same day, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the vehicle's filing information.

Vehicle Dimensions:

Length: 4,976 mm (16.3 ft), 179 mm (7 inches) longer than the standard version
Wheelbase: 3,040 mm (10 ft), 150 mm (5.9 inches) longer than the current model
Width/Height: 1,920 mm/1,668 mm (6.3 ft/5.5 ft), about 44 mm (1.7 inches) taller
Seating layout: Features a 2+2+2 six-seat design, adding a third row while still maintaining the coupe SUV lines, though the third-row headroom is somewhat limited
Powertrain: Dual motors (front and rear), 142 kW front axle, 198 kW rear axle, AWD all-wheel drive, total power approximately 340 kW (456 hp), maximum speed 201 km/h (125 mph)

In terms of performance, the new vehicle is equipped with a 3D3/3D7 dual-motor system, with power outputs of 142kW and 198kW respectively, and a top speed of 201km/h (125 mph). Industry insiders estimate the starting price at around 400,000 RMB (approximately $56,000). It's currently unknown whether it will be launched in the US market, but it would likely create significant competition for the Model X if it does.
